I want to use 4 of Lionel's SC2s as on/off switches for powering 23 spur tracks, but can't get 3 of the 4 to accept command signals. All four are daisy chained together and there's power to all four as indicated by the green light, but the red light on only one flashes when entering commands in the program mode. Anybody have any ideas why?

(1.) Check run/program switch
(2.) Check daisy chain connection
(3.) Check to see if each unit accepted programming without the flashing lights.
Just a guess here but the SC-2's are notorious for having a weak antenna. Running an earth ground wire behind or around the SC-2 fixed my problem. Before that, it would accept commands sometimes and sometimes not.
Each one needs to be programmed individually for all accessory with the first port in sequence.
SC-2 #1 program switch to program-SW 0 set Acc 1 set -program switch to run
SC-2 #2 program switch to program-SW 0 set Acc 7 set -program switch to run
SC-2 #3 program switch to program-SW 0 set Acc 13 set -program switch to run
SC-2 #4 program switch to program-SW 0 set Acc 19 set -program switch to run
