MTH's protosounds 2.0 has undergone various generational changes in battery power during its lifetime such as 5Volts, 3 volts and 8.4 volts. What is the chronological order of these various batteries being used in protosounds 2.0? Also what are the advantages and disadvantages of each, the strengths and weaknesses, the pros and cons, etc.?

p-2 5v is the early model.  the processor runs on 5v.  the battery used for back up was 8.4vs.  there was no 5v battery.  this board became component obsolete.  the follow on is the ps-2 3v.  uses a 3v processor and a 2.4v battery for backup.

advantage of the newer was 2 piece board allowing component level repair, greater memory in later models, more reliable.  G
