Lee B Green introduces his 17/64ths TruScale line of Mi-Loco O gauge trains in 1934 at the Chicago World's Fair .
Here is the PRR K5 by Mi-Loco. Running with outside 3rd rail as originally designed . Note engine is proper 17/64ths ...towering over the vintage 1/4" scale freight cars.

They are huge and crude, but indeed have a handsome charm.  The mechanism is built like a Kenworth rear axle.  Nothing flimsy about these monsters.  They did a Hudson, too, but I have never seen one.

The one I restored is a heavily weathered dark green model, sold at auction by Maurers maybe 15 years ago in the Philly region.  If you encounter it, you will see evidence of it having been Tuscan under the green.

I knew Carey would like this one - bargains do appear on eBay now and then.

Carey,

Your collection of unicorns continues to amaze me more and more.  Just think of an alternate reality where 17/64" scale trains took off instead of 0/027 three rail.  I realize I'm into Phillip K. Dick fiction here with a play on his novel I'll call, "The Man in the High Scale", but I just love seeing your amazing collection of trains.  Thank you for sharing always.

Hello all thank you for your kind words happy to share the collection with others that like old stuff.

I know of maybe six or seven of the Mi-Loco K5's ....4 / 5 of the Hudson's

That said there's not that many people beating the bushes for the really early stuff no doubt there's more out there in time it will bubble to the surface.

The Mini Scale line with their diecast pieces is far more readily available.

If you really need a K5 I will have an extra one you can contact me if you really want  one. It will need a paint job but it does run , remember these have non insulated drivers designed to run on outside third rail as a pickup you could change the tender for Center third rail.

17/64ths is boss ...... But 99% of the world is 1/4" ......nice to run with the 1% ...even if only in O gauge

Cheers Carey

Hello all if you like the look of the M1 in Sand cast aluminum.  You're going to fall in love when I post the pair I have made by scale model railways they're breathtaking.

Okay the daylight said that is an Exacta train from 1947 / 48.

The Diesels are cast bronze the cars are molded copper I couldn't find a picture of the Diesels but I found a link here show a video of the cars running behind the daylight steamer which has Lobaugh  components.

Cheers Carey
