Does anyone know if the two outputs for directional lighting are supposed to be just 1.5V? I measure 1.5V at the outputs, and with my 5V bulbs they're dim most of the time. However, sometimes while running the train in forward or reverse, the lights will suddenly brighten to what looks like full brightness, so I'm thinking something triggers those outputs on the boards to go from 1.5 V to something bigger?
Also, there's another output that sends out a constant 0-5V repeating pulse. I'm guessing it's for a flashing light of some sort, but from what I can tell it's always on no matter what state the board is in. Is that right? Does that flasher always operate for every type of engine chip, or only certain ones?
