I have a PS2 Y6B (20-3072-1)
using the handheld on a test track I tried to add engine. At first the remote indicated there was no engine to add (the engine had been deleted from remote) The engine was not in the history of the remote. I changed batteries and allowed it to charge on the track for 30 mins. It then was found and added as expected.
The next day I tried to start it and the same thing happened again. When I was able to add the engine, I let it run at an idle for 20-30 min. It had some quirks, the marker lights & headlight would shut off as it moved forward unless the smoke unit was deactivated. I tried to perform a factory reset, but it won’t reset-the remote acts like it’s stalling- then blinks and the engine ID is displayed as if the reset hadn’t been attempted I tried this with another engine and everything worked as advertised.
