One side out. Is this incandescent or a led? I havent pulled the shell yet.

GGG thanks..anybody pulled the bulbs and installed led's?
I use LED's in many PS/2 headlights, it's the same idea for the number board bulbs, it's the same bulb. I'd probably use something like a 470 ohm resistor in series with the LED for each bulb.
Note that the incandescent bulbs have one attribute that is good for this application, they give more defused lighting. This is one application you may be better sticking with the bulbs.

Thank you. I should probably have an assortment on hand as i have 11 premier diesels mostly ps3 and 5 RK ps2 diesels. I will pull the shell soon and email you.
