@Tom Tee

Today I finished pulling light wires to the power loop under the layout.  So the interior and exterior lights are now illuminated. I told you earlier that I would let you know when the school lights were completed 😉

Have a great weekend ☺️

@RSJB18 Bob, thanks.

I searched  for several years a building or kit for a high school to place on the hill above town just as my high school set. There’s not any out there available. Finally discovered the Woodlands Scenic Modular buildings strictly by accident ☺️.

Lot of time involved in the assembly due to the extra painting. But now I can move onto the next project for the layout.

Please share with me how you have illuminated your flag pole for your layout. Looks like an LED possibly or you may have purchased assembled.

Very nice gym!!!  I never thought of building a high school for on a layout.  It is an interesting concept.  My high school was a new rural Jr. Sr. high school that opened in 1962, the year I started first grade.  I was there for 6 grades.  It replaced the old high school which then served as a grade school, I was in that building for 5th to 6th grade.  It was a very old hodge podge, built on a hillside, one story on the street level and two levels below where the lower level walked out to a back yard.  They built an adjoining gym/auditorium that was basically a gym with a stage on one side and non-movable 'bleachers' on the other side.  That whole building was the same when my parents and aunts and uncles were students.  There was a bewildering set of enclosed stairs to get from the classrooms to the gym.  It would make for a one of a kind model for sure!!

I’ve not seen a Lionel flagpole with lights.  I feel that I must do a search now.Thanks @RSJB18.  I thought possibly Evans was your source.  And Mark I think you could do a fine school building after I followed your performance with your recent structure.
Everyone attended a school somewhere, some maybe more than one. My wife attended four during her school career after moving several times. I was fortunate to have a good set of teachers and administrators and I have a certain pride for my school that will now continue.

I can recommend the woodlands Modular system for a building. Found on the Woodlands Scenic site under their Modular section.

Thank you!!

Thank you!  If I was to do it, I think I would just do the classroom section and leave off the gym/auditorium.  That part is rather boring, but Woodland Scenics sections could do the trick for the many windowed square classroom section with a squashed pyramid roof.  I don't know what the proper name is for that.
