On a previous post you folks helped me acquire the appropriate voltage converter for a Snow Village sign and then helped me to wire it correctly.  Now, I want to put the converter into a "safe box" to protect it.  After searching on the Bay I found one box that the converter would fit in while not being too big.  Most of the smaller project boxes did not have the minimum height I needed.  The board is 1 1/2" high.  The inside height of VOLT. CONVERTER & PROJECT BOXmost of those boxes were just 1'.  Pictured below is the box next to the converter.  The box is simply an all aluminum rectangle with end plates that are screwed on.  What do you suggest to get the board mounted?  There are no holes, so I reckon I'll have to drill them for the wires.  Obviously, the board  must be insulated from the bottom of the box.  The only practical mount I can think of is double sided tape.  Any better solutions?  This is my first ever do-it-yourself board mounting.  The box will be mounted on my portable 2'X2' control panel.

I just remembered I want to chime in on this a bit more.  As for Velcro, may be too thick for the height.  I thought I had a half inch to spare, but forgot to include the height of the solder points on back of board.  I have both Velcro and double sided tape, but have not yet checked to see if one is thicker than the other.  Either one, when placed, will more or less be permanent.  Can't imagine trying to slide the board horizontal to remove it, but I can't see needing to.  If the board fails, I will simply scrape it out and put a new one in.

Another consideration is the four wires.  They will have to be connected to the board prior to placing it into the box.  So will need to drill hole(s) for them.  I might drill one hole and feed them through together.  Then there is the issue of sharp edges created by the drill bit.  Anything I'm missing here?
