Question about 381e

Sunrise SpecialOGR Forum Member DIGITAL SUBSCRIBER

It seems that almost every 381e I see for sale in used condition has paint chipping on the black base from friction against the movement of the cab of the engine, Is their anyway to correct this problem? Is it possible to elevate the cab slightly so that the base and body doesn't touch?
