I just bought a brand new SC-2 and wired it up.  It worked perfect for about a week, but now it won't work and doesn't even click like it used to.  I have it programmed for all accessories and have reprogrammed it several times.  It turns the light green when I program it like it is supposed to, but then won't work.

Anybody with this experience?  Help.

Green light indicates it's getting power.  What about the red communications light?  It should blink whenever it detects a command directed to a switch or accessory connected to it.  Are you using the wall wart power supply, and auxiliary power supply or are you trying to pull power from the track?  The SC-2's antenna is it's weakest link.  The antenna is small and the wiring to it can be poorly done so you may be getting poor reception.

If you're using the wall wart, try using track power for the unit.  Make SURE the ground (top aux power terminal) is connected to the outside rail for the wall wart or track power.  If you still experience issues, try running a ground wire from a 3 prong plug near the SC-2 and see if that changes it.

As Chuck says, the red light signals that it's getting the commands.

I have 4 under my table. I installed one on a table leg about 18 inches off the floor and it worked perfectly. I installed one directly underneath it and it would not function until I ran a ground wire from the wall outlet cover screw. I ran the wire right under the back of the SC2 and it worked great. I have 2 other SC2's on another table leg about 8 feet away. The ground wire trick did not help too much, but they work great as long as I have some loose wire draped over the top of them. ( I found this by accident as I was re-routing some wires. ) This seems to improve the signal to the internal antenna.
