These are probably stupid, but here goes.

I have been working on some foamboard scenery, gluing it together with liquid nails.  I don't have enough time or enough foam cut to use up an entire tube of the stuff.  How do you keep it from drying in the nozzle?  Mine has and although I've cut back the nozzle and gotten the flow going once, that isn't working this time.

Do you recommend a smaller tube?  Is there one?

I would appreciate some help.

Thanks,

George

I do the same as Rich.  But.....A tube of Liquid nails by me is around 2-3 bucks.   So its not a huge deal for me if I end up having to throw out a tube with a nail in the nozzle.

Another thing that works well is the largest size "wire nut" that you can find, find these in the electrical section of the hardware store, they are for connecting wires together.   The big one you want is usually color coded blue, they are larger than the red size and much larger than the yellow size.   Plastic with metal threads inside, they screw on tightly over the end of the cut nozzle, sealing it completely.   If you screw it on well, the metal threads in the wire nut screw onto the plastic nozzle and these will keep the caulking or glue fresh like an unopened tube.   Can be reused indefinitely.
