What is the best way to remove/install the axle bearings on a Lionel 150
The motor is a humpback series 4 (first year of bushings being used).
The motor does run but there is a lot of play with the wheels (gears still mesh).
The Wheels will be removed as the collector assembly needs to be replaced.
With the wheels and old collector assembly removed:
Could I grab the bushing from the back with a pair of pliers and work it out?
Could I use a bolt nut and washer to install the new bushings?
I have replaced wheel collector assemblies but never did the axle bearings
