Can anyone tell me how to bridge a transformer? I have a Radio Shack transformer that has two 6.3 volt outputs (I measured 7.5v on each). It has 2 yellow wires and 1 black wire on the low voltage side and 2 black wires on the input voltage side.
I would like to use it as a single 14 volt transformer as opposed to a two output 7 volt transformer.

The voltage from one yellow wire to the other yellow wire is 12.6 vac. Do not use the black wire.
After bridging my Radio Shack transformer, I used it to power my 1122(e) turnouts and now they really respond quickly. Next project is to add the capacitor/diode protection modification for constant voltage.
