I have a new MTH RailKing Pennsylvania Single Engine Shed (30-90267) that doesn't seem to sit properly over Fastrack. I am thinking the base is contoured only to fit MTH track. Is my assumption correct? If so, I can't return it because I've had it too long sitting in the box to return to the store. I should have opened it and checked it against Fastrack when I first purchased it, but I never suspected the bottom would have a special contour. Any suggestions?

Our club runs Gargraves on cork roadbed thought the MTH Engine House, two track variety. There should be some way of mating Lionel track to Gargraves.
Perhaps you could build a "foundation" from 1/2 inch square basswood to lift it up to clear the fastrack.

I could be wrong but I believe the Fastrack is too wide (because of the molded ballast), not too tall. Shimming up wouldn't help.
Or one inch foam dressed up to look like a concrete foundation might be a possibility. Following on Vulcan's comment, you could angle shave back the underside of the foam to handle the roadbed width.

Run the fast track through a table saw.Shave a little off each side.
Get the Fastrack transition piece and put tinplate track inside the shed.
Upon closer inspection, I see that Jdevleerjr's suggestion of using a Fastrack transition piece and running tubular track inside the shed will work fine. Thanks for the easy solution!
