With a two story station on the joint line, my town needed a hotel and

restaurant across from it to serve the public.  I used an Ameri-Town "Vinnie's"

(would have used a 3 story version if I'd seen one earlier) and a Downtown

Deco hotel kit to fill the need.  Simple construction, just remove one wall

from "Vinnie's", weather, and serve. Most difficult task was making a cornice

for Vinnie's that matched the hotel.

Bo and Jerrman: Thanks for your comments.  Downtown Deco cornice looked like it

was assembled from strips, so I tried to duplicate it with vinyl strips, on a basswood

background for the OGR building.  The window treatments for the OGR building were in the kit...color choice, of "dirty brick", helped....all had an acrylic weathering wash.

I removed the wall as I wanted buildings as close as possible, as the second floor

of the dining room is a continuation of the hotel, and that wall wasn't needed, so I decided to hold it for another project. Window treatments for the Downtown Deco

building were simple colored craft paper.
