Noted rail photographer Brian Solomon has given some nice exposure to our January issue on his Tracking the Light website. Brian photographed Dan Bigda's layout for our cover feature. Thanks to Brian and Dan!

Excellent photos! And the realism of two-rail modeling.

Thanks Allan and Brian! This is very cool! Dan
I noted that you had a highly regarded prototype rail photographer as a contributor to the magazine. Thanks for posting this, Allan, as it allowed me to subscribe to his blog, of which I was unaware. I enjoy photography, and have always enjoyed his work. Hopefully more of his work can be showcased in OGR in the future.
Jay Jay,
Not only is Brian a well regarded photographer in the rail world, he also has about
50 books in his name from Signaling to Railroads them selves..
Take care, Dan
Er, didn't he use the old name of the magazine, OSR instead of OGR ??
Nice piece Allan but is this correct or a typo?
Earlier this year, my friend Dan Bigda asked me to make photographs of his magnificent O-scale layout for a feature article in the January 2014 issue of O-Scale Railroading (recently published).
AHA - while I was typing another sharp-eyed forum member caught this as well...

Yes, Dan, I have one or two of his books in my library. They are terrific!
