Remote thumbwheel replacement.

The click function of pressing down onthe tumbwheel is NOT related to the wires. The plastic bracket presses on a button of the rubber keypad.

You likely just have an alignment or assembly mechanical error when you put the remote back together.

FWIW, I will admit the assembly and alignment can be challenging. It's a rather complicated arrangement of 4 parts- the housing, the thumbwheel cradle, the rubber keypad and the PCB- and really the 5th- the back clamshell snapping all this together.

I don't get it correct and working all the time either and sometimes have had to take it apart a few times and try over and over.
