How do I replace an existing TIU 1, with a new TIU without loosing data attached to existing TIU 1?

HI you backup the tiu to your computer and then transfer the update back to the new tiu. simple process! you can transfer tiu n remote to pc then back to remote and the back to tiu one at a time!

If you have (or borrow) a spare remote, it is possible to reprogram the new TIU with the new address without doing anything to your original remote. Also, new TIUs ship with the default address set to 1.
Alan's method is great too, plus you get a backup file of your remote data to restore to future remotes or App if you ever go that route.
Remember that all the engine data is in the remotes, not the TIU. The TIU had routes, etc. if you use those capabilities.
