My name is Glenn Taylor, I am the chief modeler for the model railroad community of Hill Side Colorado. As all of you know there is always a project to be accomplished in a model railroad community. The other day I had a request from a family that just moved in. They asked for a tree in their back yard. Well (being the great guy that I am) I stopped running trains and got right on this request (they seemed to be right nice folks). The first order of business was to acquire the trunk and branches for the tree. Living here in Colorado we have lots of sage brush  (it makes mighty fine trees) and the best sage brush is up in the wild horse canyons. So me and my buddy Dash(Dash is my Boxer,  were ever I go Dash goes)load up and head out. It was about noon when we reached the canyons(What an incredible place this is ,red rock formations with the a cloudless blue sky as a backdrop. Wow! Sorry I have a tendency to go on at times.) Found the perfect piece of sage brush for the trunk and enough pieces for branches to make a nice tree. Did not see any horses today, maybe next time(Dash and I come up here quite often).  So to make a long, long, story short, got the sage brush home. I attached the branches to the trunk with my trusty super glue and kicker. Then used spray adhesive to adhere the different leaf textures to the branches. The folks that got the tree in their back yard were good enough to let me take before an after photos. They are very happy with the tree and I am sure will enjoy it many for years to come.

HAPPY MODELING!
