I am putting together an order to Mouser Electronics for various electrical parts to wire my layout (currently under construction).  I wanted to add some 22 uH RF chokes to the order for installation in the various Lionel sound passenger cars, Atlas cabooses, and TMCC locomotives which ruined the DCS signal strength on my previous layout.  On my previous layout, I turned off tracks with cars & locos which killed the DCS signal & disconnected the TMCC signal wire to allow my DCS to work.  On my new layout, I would like to run DCS & TMCC together.

Any recommendations for easy to install RF chokes to buy?  Amperage selection?  How do I wire them to the pickup rollers if they are not axial chokes?  Does it matter which RF choke wire goes to the pickup roller?

Chokes are non-directional, so there is no polarity.

Here's one good for 1.3 amps, this covers most rolling stock and passenger cars.  It's smaller and cheaper than what is required for locomotives.

Here's a higher current one that will work for your locomotives.
