Hey Gang,

Looking for some ring terminals (AtlasO calls them wire terminals) for spare parts. AtlasO sells them for $1+ a piece, and was wondering if anyone knew where I could pick some up for less money. These things are great because they slide over the screw and will stay in place if the screw should ever become loose.

In lieu of finding the terminals, how do the other manufacturers attach the wire to the screws that lead to the pick-ups?

I fabricated smaller rings using  a male spade crimp on (Listed as a male disconnect). Drill the hole size you want. I used a bench disk sander to alter the male spade to round/semi-round. IMO Tough to find rings to fit some of the small screws/screwheads used with model railroad connections.  Shrink tube was added before installation on the trucks.

From the Grainger Website.  Listed as a male disconnect  Click on the underlined phrase to link.

In addition to above:

McMaster-Carr (recommendation based on personal experience)

Online catalog very easy to use, good search capability, enormous selection, much useful information beyond simple parts/numbers listings, illustrations, fast service, etc.

To quote Garrison Keilor, "If you can't find it here you can probably get along without it. " (referring to another store, but still....)

Check this link and about four pages following. Browse the catalog while you're there. It's fun and amazing. (Usual disclaimer: I have no financial interest, etc., etc.)
