I have been experiencing an issue running one of my RMT Beep engines.

I had intentions of lashing this engine to another engine I have so that I can run it on the club layout which has multiple switches on the layout.

Before even attempting to connect them with the connector plugs,  I noticed that this one engine always starts in reverse while my other engine always starts going forward.   I am able to get the engine to go forward  using the direction control it starts in reverse, neutral and then forward.   I also cannot lock the engine going forward, only in reverse.  I tried this several times even shutting down the power for a few minutes getting the same result using the CW-80.

Just for the heck of it I tried lashing them together with the connectors and the were fighting each other going in different directions.

How do I get this one in sync with my other engine or do I have an issue with the circuit board?

Thanks in advance.

George

Galley Proof I think you have my answer.

The Beep in question starts in reverse in the opposite direction of the on and off switch. Based on what your saying my shell is reversed.   The long hood  which has the "F" marking for forward is currently on the same side as the on and off switch.

That kind of makes sense now.  With the shell reversed,  the long hood is on the opposite side of the on and off switch and starts up in the forward direction.  This works!!!

My second issue now is the tethers.   On my other good working Beep the male tether is on the end with the on and off switch and the female tether is on the end of the long hood.   In order to lash the engines long hood forward, I will need to reverse the tethers.

Whew, know this sounds confusing but it makes sense now doing it step by step.

Thanks again for putting up with me.

George
