I continue to transition from a temporary to permanent layout, and have a question for the roadbed material for an upper level. The tabletop for the main level is 1/2" plywood, then 1/2" Quietbrace (from Home Depot), then foam roadbed from Woodland Scenics under the classical Lionel O gauge tubular track. Should the upper level be the same? Is the Quietbrace necessary? FYI, for the temporary layout, on the upper level I used 1" pink styrofoam strips/sheets. Worked well to make changes and adjustments, but now need something more permanent.
Thanks for any advice.
Michael
