Will older Weaver freight car wheel sets work on K-Line passenger cars ?

I don't know about the passenger cars but I've put weaver wheels sets in K-Line freight car trucks. They didn't fit as is, I had to ream out the sideframes till the axels would spin freely. It wasn't the prettiest work but the cars ran without falling off the track so I guess it was a success. Your best bet is take the K-line apart and measure the axels then find something similar.....DaveB
I used some 36" scale replacement K-Line passenger car wheels in my Weaver plastic and early die cast roller bearing trucks for some 57-foot mechanical reefers. I suspect it would work the other way. Are you talking about the Weaver plastic 36" scale wheels?
