I am extremely impressed with Ronnie Tong's layout featured in the OGR magazine that arrived yesterday.  One of the best!   Ceramic structures and ice covered trees to create a memory of his.  This layout recreates all the best images of New York in the winter.  The placement of everything is superb!   The row of brownstone homes, skyline looming in the distance, train station scene, cars in the snowy streets, and the ice covered trees to recreate a memory he had.  I thoroughly enjoy the article and pictures.  Video of the trains running would be great to see.  In my opinion the best Christmas, Holiday, winter layout I have seen!

This evening was the first opportunity I had to study the current issue. While the other displays are excellent, I was very impressed with Mr. Tong’s captivating display. Not only was I impressed I was also inspired. My layout is still under development and at this point the layout can go in myriad directions without creating havoc. Based upon what Mr. Tong has created I’m seriously leaning towards doing a permanent Christmas display. I would appreciate seeing more detailed photos; perhaps a video.

Well, I'm very jealous!  I'm a digital subscriber who also likes to buy the hard copy, but in the Chicago area, I have not been able to find one.  Two LHS had them but sold out before I was able to get one.  One LHS claims not to have received their delivery yet, and a 4th says they dropped OGR because of delivery problems.  My only hope is that one of the "sold out" shops has ordered another delivery.  For those of you without a LHS, does any other store carry OGR?

You may be able to get it at Barnes and Noble.

Why not just get a print subscription?
