We are about to wire a Ross 11 degree crossing.  The crossing is already nailed down so I couldn't see the bottom wiring. On the Ross Tech page it shows a wiring diagram using a Zstuff 1008 relay and a switch motor. This looks rather complicated. Is it really necessary? How are you wiring a 11 degree crossing?

Link to the online diagram.  There are (4) relatively short, dead rail, pieces that are logically powered via the added DZ 1000 switch motor, and auto switching, to assure center rail continuity through the crossover.  I would try the cross over without the auto power wiring as pictured. The idea is to power short rail pieces (marked 1 and 2), logically to assure center rail continuity.  If it works O.K. with all your engines, without the additional wiring,  fine.  IMO
