What is the easiest way to setup and wire a Ross Ready switch for non-derailing with a DZ-1000?

I was going to cut an outside rail 3" from the switch then connect with a fiber pin giving me an isolated section.  Another option was connecting with a fiber pin then making sure the outside section of rail is not jumped underneath leading to the frog.

What should I be doing?  Thanks for any thoughts.

Think they want you to insulate a little farther out from the straight to enhance the chance for the non-derailing feature to work. From experience, a fast moving unit with rubber tires could make it past otherwise. (Though we have since removed all these non derailing sections.)
