Good afternoon all.  I was hoping someone here might be able to help me with an issue.  I recently purchased some Ross Switches with the DZ-2500 switch machines attached.  I finally got around to programming them one at a time this morning.  I used the "C" throttle from my postwar ZW and set it between 12 - 16 volts.  I only had TMCC attached since my Legacy unit is still in layaway.  Programming went fine.  On all of the switches, I can use the cab 1 now to throw either straight or curved.  However, on one of the switches, a RH 072/054 curved turnout, the switch machine throws to the curved position fine, but when I try to go straight, it over shoots and stops in the middle.  It actually goes all the way over but then continues back to the middle.  Is there a way to tweak the machine?

Another issue that I noticed is that the remote control only would have both the red and green leds lit when in the straight position, but only the red would be lit when in the curved position.  I only tried the one remote.  I didn't want to hook up a different one each time I programmed a switch.  Any help would be appreciated.

I would start by unhooking the spring and switching the machine several times. If the problem doesn't show up I would reinstall the spring pushing the points over till they just meet the rail and screw it down. When this problem happened to me the switch machine had too much tension on the straight side. This tension pulled the lever back to the middle position. Make sure you tighten the screws just enough to hold the machine. If the screws are too tight they will warp the machine and cause it to bind.

Thanks Ron and David.  That does sound like a possible cause.  I did get in touch with Dennis Zander.  He said that the WGITE gear inside might have been mounted at an angle.  I could try fixing it myself or send the switch machine back to him and he would fix it.  Probably would be easiest if I just sent it back to him.
