I posted this on the 4th. on the structures board and didn't get any replies. I'm wondering how the full size guys installed lights in their roundhouse? Over the pits or over the walkways in between? How many did they use? Suppose it varied depending on the road but there must have been some rough guide they used?

Thanks.

Lights were over the walkways and sometimes angles toward the running gear of a loco in the stall.  Lights above the pits would be worthless when it comes to seeing what you're doing making running gear repairs.  The number and position of lights depended on whether repairs were done at night or only in daytime, number and locations of windows for natural light, etc.  Here are some prototype photos.
