I have the free version of rr track that comes with a mth rtr set. With this version can I make a elevated track and view the track in the landscape 3d view? I cant attach a file because of a problem with my computer. Thanks Rusty O

Not sure about the free version, but you'd use the "Grade/Set Track Height" option on the elevated track, then right-click the sections that are overpasses and click "Toggle Overpass". The 3D rendering will show elevated track with supporting berms and the overpasses without.
AFAIK, the free version is fully functional, it's just limited to a few track libraries and I think it might be v3 whereas the paid version is up to v5.
To elevate track -- select 1 or more tracks and select "Grades/Set track height". Enter the desired height.
To create a grade -- after setting the track height for a section of tracks, shift-select the tracks you want in your grade, then select "Grades/Create grade". This will tell you the percent grade it created. If it's too steep, you'll need to adjust the number of tracks in the grade. To do so, just select the tracks you want again and select "Grades/Create grade" again.
how do you view it in landscape 3d view I still cant figure out how to set the incline i can only select one track at a time. After I set the height of it i cant figure out how to select the grade of several pieces of track over a span.
You have to hold the shift key to select multiple tracks.

Have you tried using the Help option on the menu bar or pressing F1?
Thanks Dave But how do I see my layout in 3d mode
Mine dosent have that screen with the different view options on the top. I figured out how to make a grade and elevate now i need to make a upper level for the track to lay on like the plywood would be on the real layout.. Thanks Rusty
It's been a long time since I used the free version that came with my set, so maybe it didn't include the 3D view. Look around the menus for a 3D view option (maybe in the View menu, something like "Switch to 3D"). If it really doesn't have that option, either post your RR-Track file or email it to me and I'll see if I can get you a 3D view. I think the latest version is able to open earlier versions.
If that doesn't work, you'll either have to upgrade or try SCARM, its free.
EDIT: I was going to install the free version on my wife's laptop, but I no longer have the CD.
