OK, I know i could get pretty fancy here and run my lighted buildings into an AUI and control them individually via the remote.  that may happen some day, but not today

What I thought about doing in the interim is running  the transformer into variable input 1 or 2 (set to fixed) and out through the corresponding variable output to a terminal block.  Is there any sense in doing this, or should I just hook it up to a separate transformer and be done with it, leaving the TIU out of the mix?  Is there any benefit going through the TIU without the AUI?

Well, I guess if you the var ch on the tiu to run power to your buildings, accs, you can "DIAL UP OR DOWN" the voltage taking your town scene from a dusk to dawn effect using the variable.

The other poster is not really able to do unless he runs the Var ch into the AIU, or uses some kind of rheostat to dim/brighten.

Just another thought. Greg
