Thanks for the information. I collect beer cars and wondered if I missed some.

This is one of a series of 5 Anheuser-Busch-themed reefers introduced in 2019:
I got this one NIB from Forum sponsor Trainz for half price on clearance. I like it so much that I'm looking to get the rest of them!

Nice looking car Bill, go ahead get them all
These ground-breaking reefers were so popular, they sold out months before they shipped.
We are making several different items in our exclusive brewery series. The next is a Lackawanna flat car with prototypical Utica Club Trailers, A Haberle Congress Beer classic billboard advertisement, Saranac Beer classic advertisement billboard and a lot more to come!

Don McErlean...those ALTOONA BEER cars were ONLY made by RMT in mid 2000's era not Kline. Tooling was RMT's obtained from Kline.
RMT actually made 8 different BEER car sets...called them BOPPERS!
The new RMT scale 36ft woodside beer reefers will start arriving mid-October 2024.
Walter/RMT
@RMT - Ready Made Trains - EGAD! Mate, you gave me that information once before and I completely forgot (I will blame old age ) I am sorry. I wish I could find some more of those BOPPERS, but in fact I have only encountered the one. I am sorry I mis identified the car.

Just to add some Pacific Northwest flavor, here is an Atlas Rainier Beer reefer done by Petersen Supply out of Portland. I saw an Olympia beer car earlier in this thread. Rainier was brewed in Seattle and Olympia was brewed in Tumwater which is near Olympia.
Tacoma had a Heidelberg brewery, while Blitz-Weinhard brewed beer in Portland.
MTH made a series of cars featuring Pittsburgh brewers. Here are 2, each slightly different based on colar scheme, from Pittsburgh Brewing Company

Just received this entire NOS train set by MTH for the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Saint Louis, from a recent Cabin Fever auction.
It is twenty (20) years old next month, and has never been out of the box. Came with everything - Z Controller - Z750 brick - RealTrack straights and curves - lock-on - and of course the steam loco and tender with the PS2 (3V) board (yeh), a reefer, a tank wagon, and the caboose.
Pulled the shell off the tender, replaced the new (but dead) AA batteries with a BCR2, then pulled the shell off the loco and gave it a full service (including the gearbox) and fitted a TVS across the track power wires on the chassis, just above the front pick-up roller.
Added twenty drops of smoke fluid....and "away we go"!!!
Runs beautifully, and smokes like an old trooper - even get small "smoke rings" at low speed!!!!
This is the first MTH "train set" I have ever owned, and for what you get, I think it was real value. I only paid $121.00US + $19.36US "Buyers Premium", so I figure I am well in front....but don't ask me about the shipping cost to Australia.....that's a whole nother story for another day!!!!!
Anyway, I just love my "beer train-set" - hope you guys (and gals) like it too.
Peter.......Buco Australia.

Peter, that's a great looking set. I picked up the rolling stock several years ago from Forum Sponsor, Nassau Hobby. At that time I didn't realize they were from a set break up but was wondering why they were in plain white boxes. I've got two K-Line steamers and a Lionel GP9 to haul all my Anheuser Busch rolling stock so I never chased down that 10 wheeler. Maybe I should? Seems like the voices in my head are losing their Brooklyn accent and are starting to sound a bit like an Aussie.
@walt rapp posted:
Nice collection Walt! I should have bought the Matt's reefer, I still have my Pittsburgh Steeler Super Bowl beer cans. Mark
@Buco - Peter that is quite a neat set. Be careful, once that "American" toy train bug bites, its hard to let go , next thing you know you will be running Lionels along with your Buco's.
Best Wishes
Don
Donnie, Donnie, Donnie......that will never happen!!!
I am flirting with danger with the "Buco Boys" in Switzerland just running the MTH trains I have.....but I love them just the same.
Stay well Don, and maybe we will see you again on our next trip to the US of A.
Coach: We Aussies have a way of getting inside your head.....next thing you will want to have a meat pie and a cold XXXX beer while you watch your trains go round and around!!! (Google XXXX beer)
Peter.......Buco Australia.
I have enjoyed collecting the Budweiser beer cars, both the MPC era and the more recent cars. This Budweiser Clydesdales set is one of my favorites and a great value. There are a bunch of horse sounds as part of the sound package. The Clydesdales are magnificent horses.

Nice looking Beeps Bill WTG Thought I seen some passengers tipping back a few ice cold Utica Club.
This is a great topic for the forum. I didn't realize that so many different beer cars were produced over the years. Thanks to everyone that's posted photos. Here are my four beer cars.
First, I have a Coors boxcar. Being from Colorado, I toured the brewery on many occasions, and I knew several people who worked there. I just had to have at least one Coors car. It's a Lionel 6-9866.
Next, this is a car I had a hard time finding. It's a "Karlsbrau Beer" boxcar. My father was from Germany, and his name was Karl. He enjoyed German-style beers immensely, and when he retired, he dabbled in home brewing. You probably know, but the name literally means "Karl's Beer". This is one of my most favorite cars in my collection. It's an Atlas 8081-1.
The last two cars are a tribute to a brewery located in Pueblo, CO. I'm certain that this location was a branch of the business from Wisconsin. There was a ton of memorabilia from the now-shuttered brewery at nearly every antique shop in the area, and the logo looked exactly the same. It was said that Mr. Walter lived in Pueblo, as is evident from the restored and preserved mansion the family lived in. Does anyone know the story of the Colorado location? I have a pair of cars - one is #19493, the other #19494. These were made by O-Line.
Thanks for looking, and thanks for the topic.

Walt by chance did Iron City Brewery ever sell the cars? I know when I bought my Utica Club cars they sold them at the gift store at the brewery. Thanks Mark
@Just Havin' Fun - Hey no images posted on your entry. Can you try again? Thanks

Thanks for letting me know, Don. Everything looked fine on my end, but I did re-post the photos. Let me know if you don't see them.

MTH worked with Pittsburgh Brewing Company to come out with a special very limited all cream colored (like the image that I posted) train. Only 500 sets would be made and if one was lucky enough to be in that first 500 then they were guaranteed to be included in further offerings. But I still had to get my request in in those subsequent years in time to be sure I was on the list.
At first, only (I think) the engine was offered. The procedure was I had to contact the brewery and reserve and pay for it and then wait for it to be delivered. It went to the brewery and I had to go there to pick it up. This procedure was in place for the next 4 pieces of rolling stock - order thru the brewery and pick it up there. They only released one car per year.
The Brewery was caught in some sort of scandal and the program was stopped. However, MTH continued the series and I could order and pick up at my LHS. As I recall, that continued with a bobber caboose, the trailer on flat, and an operating beer car. I was lucky to get all 3 of those too. The operating car was really cool: the guy slid out cases of beer. What I thought was the neatest was that when I activated the car and the doors opened a whiff of smoke came out like what would be the case if the interior was really cold.
Other than that special set, every other beer car/engine was thru the LHS.
I don't have a picture of all of the cars. I can't find one for the operating car.

Thanks Walt, The F.X. Matt Brewery in Utica, NY when they came out with the K-Line boxcars they were going to make a set from an engine to caboose, which would have been nice, they then came out with a Lionel O scale boxcar that I did buy. Thanks for the info that operating boxcar must be nice with the smoke. God Speed Mark
@walt rapp posted:@Sitka -
I did some digging and did find 2 pictures that I took of the operating beer car, but sadly the one doesn't show the puff of smoke very well but if you know it's there you can see it.
