Scale drop cloth

I was looking for a way to model an o-scale drop cloth.

I looked at paper, tissues, actual cloth but nothing seems to come close.

also I tried painting thin plastic like Saranwrap but the paint flakes off as I drape it over the objects I want to look as if protected.
