Thanks to some advice from the forum I solved the problem I was having with the scale trac switch controls. The problem I described earlier involved the toggle on the switch control box ( all plastic ) was sticking ( actually breaking off the little plastic pin ) and resulted in the switch sticking and melting the power box at the track switch. Since my switches were within the 1 yr warranty, MTH did make good, but the problem continued. Thanks to advice here on the forum I purchased SPDT On-Off-On Momentary Toggles /20A from All Electronics and now the problem appears to be solved. I was somewhat hesitant about wiring of the toggle but it was really very easy. A little work involved rewiring what I had previously done but it was not a problem. My recommendation if you are using scale trac switches and using their plastic controls.......switch to the momentary toggle.   Thanks to all for your advice.

I use Real Trax and have switched to momentary push switches from Radio Shack. I agree, it's worth doing. I only had a few glitches with Real Trax switch controls. I made the change to reduce the footprint area of the switches on my control panel. I also replaced the incandescent switch position indicator lights to LEDs. I used different color LEDs to make it easier for me to identify which switch goes where quickly
