Has anyone created a scene with a raft used to make repairs to a ship or bridge?

i'd like to create something that could be used for workers to repair this side wheeler while it's in the water.

A "barge"; maybe multi-level or with scaffolding set up for the job.

Barrels or tanks on the square frame parimeter with a flat platform on top. A row boat docked to it for the return to land or a gang plank to the dock close, etc. Maybe add another, small "low" floating dock & ladder up to the land too?

If you wanted to get nuts; a barge may be counterweighted below the waterline for crane use etc.

Thanks for the ideas guys. Those pictures were helpful. As you can see from the picture; (and I promise more in the AM) there isn't much room for a barge next to the ship. That's why I was thinking raft; but I'll have to look into a flat bottom boat. I had considered the salvage barge from Deerfield River Laser; but I think it's too large.

As far as the ship information. I found it on a clearance table at a home decor shop  while I was waiting for my Wife.

It's been banging around in my scenery source box for about 10 years. It's missing one paddle wheel, I guess that's why it was a clearance item. It's made out of tin and was welded to a stand. I did some surgery after I poured the river. I used a rotary cutoff to cut the stand off. That included about a 1/4 " of the hull. So now it can sit flat on the water.

To me it calls out, I need some repairs before I head to the next port.

I recall one on barrels that was only about 30' square, moored at a local marina when I was young (Detroit River). I think  I've seen bigger dive/swim platforms

Scaffolding, mostly on land, but hanging down along the land/wall ? A window washer type rig?  Otherwise I think they'd work from a small boat vs use a raft; they aren't exactly stable when small.
