I am looking for the schematics for the Buffalo Central Terminal. I would like to scratch build a truncated version of this terminal . I am in the initial research stage of this project and any information providing arch size , placement etc would help. I asked the people at the terminal but they said the schematics were only provided to contractors. I ordered the trains magazine 1985 sept, oct issues this provided some interesting historical background .

How close are you to the terminal? I would be taking a tape measure there are start by laying out the base and the height of the first floor. Maybe attend a meeting of the folks doing the restoration so you can take some measurements inside.
From this website.
"The 15-story buff-colored brick and stone Terminal tower housed railroad offices. It is 271 feet high."
You should be able to project down from these numbers to get a close approximation especially since you don't intend to make a full scale model. There are hundreds of photos on the web taken from all sides that should help.
BTW I believe the term is blue prints.

such a waste! they went another direction.
I have built BCT on my layout (compressed) . It is my favorite building anywhere. Will post some pics when I get a chance. I found it helpful to break down the facility into manageable sections....ie tower, main building, REA buildings, platforms (only four), etc... A art-deco masterpiece!!!! John A
Thanks John, I am interested in seeing the pictures. I am in the initial research stage of this project. Basically at this point I am snipping pictures from the internet to calculate structure dimensions. I hope that many of the upper level widows can be purchased off the shelf. The arches will probably have to be plaster cast or carved.
There is a floor plan, photos, and other information at Forgotten Buffalo.

There is a plan here, not great quality, but may be useful:
