Hello all,

I would like to construct a 2 track trestle approx. 8" high on my layout.  I remember an article in one of the magazines (I believe it was OGR) that came out several years ago.  The article had a diagram that you could use to make the bents.  Any help on what run this was would be much appreciated. My thanks in advance.

Hal,

OGR Magazine Run 256 (April/May 2012) has a 9-page article I wrote on a trestle bridge I built from scratch. The article is rather detailed and should be of help. The bridge is 10-feet long, 26 inches over the lake and its entire span has a 2% grade. The curves at both ends are 108 and 99-inch diameter.

Good luck and keep us posted with your progress.

Hey Walt,

I suspect that there are many of us who routinely miss forum threads and magazine articles that we would have liked to have read. When I receive OGR magazine, I browse through the entire issue after dinner that same day, and then set it aside to read each and every article. But, between interruptions and working on the layout, I sometimes skip or fail to finish reading an article.

When the next OGR issue arrives and I am ready to file the previous issue, I look at it (the older issue) one more time, and invariably discover an article I had missed. Sometimes I read the missed article then, but other times I am so interested in what the new issue may have, that I just file the older issue without further ado.

Thx!

Alex
