With Lasers and routers , computer drawings become reality . I designed these resin panels to make a great building and the possibilities are limitless.

I like that building, great job! The second floor track is really cool !! there use to be a building in Toledo that had that feature. Track only went in half way where there was an elevator shaft. A photo was in the lobby entrance of a boxcar that went to far.

Very nice.

Yes, I 'm thinking that "easy" is being used in a relative sense here,
Wow Bernie! You went completely over the top with this one. I've been a fan of your work for some time and I thought these you did were quite impressive.

Wow, that is a big building. Nice looking, too.
I also would like to know more and hope you will post details about how you made it.
Thanks for the compliments everyone , Matt , you are awesome , that picture of the big mill , resides on the NJ Highrailers massive layout , I had forgot about that picture.
Bernie
Excellent structure!

Yep. You and I had corresponded about scratch-building years ago and you had E-mailed me photos of the layout. The style of the milling building inspired the design of a view-block warehouse I built for the club (I need to put a crown on the thing).
One of your inspiring builds was a three-level open Autorack. I was thinking you might want to consider a conversion kit to add onto an Atlas 89-foot trailer flat. I did manage to find a couple of Lykens Valley kits on eBay a couple of years ago, but haven't had time to build them.

Hey Matt ,
ahh you keep finding the gems ! At one time I had 8 scratchbuilt open 85ft racks .
Then a few people made me offers I could not refuse .
Here is a picture of one on the underside . I did finish the car with the ramps for the person who bought it , it even had the cushioned coupler pockets .
I must have been insane back then , the hours and details I put in these . I do not have the motivation to build more , I have had a box of all the parts prefabbed , the brake parts from Precision Scale , the fixtures to hold all three floors square while putting the vertical beams on , it all has been there for 10 yrs , was looking at it the other day . I have someone wanting some but what I need to get my head into the project is not a number they can live with at this moment . At roughly 60-80 hrs per car to go from pieces to decaled and ready to roll ,other things take my time.
I like your building , and thanks for the memories

Excellent work.
I've held off on assembling the Lykens kits since they're long out of production and I'm thinking that I could cast the vertical supports in resin to make lighter weight add-ons for the Atlas cars. I've been so busy with work and the club, this has gone onto the back burner.
Scratchbuilding made easy.....
I wish there was an easy button. You guys all have excellent modeling skills and bring it all together in the photos
Thanks for sharing your skills & photos.
Cheers from Michigan
