Hello everyone,

On my way out I have some areas for trains slow down pretty much and would like some suggestions from you guys. It is happening on spots where I have a small area of Lionel tubular O gauge track and also on some spots of my gargraves track. I cleaned the truck pretty much and the slowdowns seem a little bit better but are still there. I am getting the same voltage consistent through my whole layout from the track? Please advise why you think I'm getting these slowdowns and what I can do to correct.

By the way, I did clean the track very well by hand and I have a track cleaner.

As usual, thank you very much, Jerry

Checking no-load voltage will help find a completely dead spot but won't tell you anything about slow-down spots. High resistance track joints will usually allow the tiny current a voltmeter draws without much voltage drop. Crimping tubular/Gargraves/Fastrack at the joints can certainly help. Running buss wires and power drops every few track joints can help  as well.

Also too, sharp radius curves cause slow-downs and you can't do anything about that (except run locomotives that have speed control).
