Small Stranded Wire Gauge Question

Does someone here know what the gauge of that small stranded wire is that Lionel uses for leads on accessories like their Mainline Auto Crossing Gates? I’m guessing perhaps AWG #22 or #24. But . . .???

I just measured and it's about .025" diameter. That's about 22 gauge. Keep in mind that they're not very long wires, so a long 20 foot run would be better a larger gauge.
