I usually post in the Hi-Rail forum but I figured this might get more attention here. I'm looking for parts to make a stack extension for an ATSF 3460 class Hudson: http://sfrhms.org/files/Sandifer/Stacks/Tele.htm

Precision Scale and Stevenson Preservation Lines don't have anything resembling this type of smoke stack. Is there any other source for these stack extensions already made in O scale or am I going to have to make it out of brass tube and sheet?

Lionel gives 3-4 different types with the Lionel legacy Santa fe northern, maybe you could look for extras or get the parts from lionel?

Those are the wrong style. If you follow the link I posted you'll see the different styles of stack extensions. The Hudsons used a different style than the Northerns.

I have an MTH Premier Santa Fe steamer that has an extended stack.  It's a PS2 engine but I know they made a PS3 version recently.  Great engine, and the extended stack is cool.

May I recommend you go to their website and look for their premier steam engines.

I already have 3 MTH Premier Santa Fe Hudsons (3460, 3463, 3464). I'm looking for the style of stack extension used on them in O scale, possible made by a brass parts detail manufacture. I have been unable to locate one, so I'm trying to see if anyone has a source for one.

I didn't think 3460 had a stack extender, though I don't think the streamlining would have prevented this.
