I remember someone posting pics of a standard gauge Camelback loco quite a while ago. I would like to try and make one this winter and would like to look at the pics again for ideas. Any help would be great.

Here's a link to a recent eBay auction. Unfortunately the photo seems to be embedded in a way that I can't strip it out to post separately.
Glenn, I have that Jersey Central Camelback by Classic Model Trains. The link SWHi posted has some pretty good close-up pictures, but if you want more let me know and I'll spend some time getting some photos of mine for you.
Thank Guys, I have been running this over in my head for awhile now and would really love to try and build my own loco. I will look at the pics and go from there. thanks alot.

Glenn, sounds like a very cool project. Not sure I'm that ambitious myself, but it would be really rewarding. I'd love to see how your idea evolves. Best of luck, and please keep us posted!
Thanks, hojack and Hiawatha . That is the exact engine that caught my eye. The pics look good as well. I just got a supermotor that I will use for this project. I think it will be easy to mount up in a custom frame and body along the lines of the pics. Hojack , can you take a measurement of the lengh of the locomotive for me . So I can have a rough idea of its lengh. Also I might toy around with just adding pony wheels under the rear cab from a 400e front and back with 2 drivers on each side so I do not have to make drive rods. I can use nice chrome ones from a 400 instead of painting my own up if I went with 3 drivers per side. I cannot get the pics to strip out for me either .

Okay Glenn, here's my Camelback with some measurements, hope it's helpful. Please do keep us updated if you do get into building one, I'm really interested.
Hojack,
Thanks for the pics, the measurements are great. I will definatly be attempting this project now after looking at this set of pics. I already have a cow catcher from a 33/38 and will be collecting parts in the near future. I will post the build as I go along with it. You went out of your way with the measurements pic. Thanks alot !
