tell us some facts:
- What track will you be using?
- What switches do you have? You need 2.
- Will this been on a straight or around a corner?
- Inside or outside of the main line?
- How long does it need to be? 5,6 or 7 feet?
Then I can give you a track plan with the power toggle wiring edited in. You will need a single pole single throw (on\off) switch.
OK, I'll give it a shot. For a passing siding, you need (at least) one LH and one RH switch. Sectional curved track will allow you to make the siding parallel to your mainline. Straight track for however long you want the siding to be. IF you want to electrically isolate the siding, use insulated pins (or leave them out) on the center rail at each end of the siding. Then feed the siding power through a switch so you can turn it off/on.

Look I was trying to post a drawing of my layout. But I can,t get it to load up.Gilly thank you for your reply. Here is what I have.Track is gargaves and atlas o.I have one right and one left switch. The siding is beside the main line.I have power lend to a z4000 to another side.O.k. testing last night I got it to work. But as soon the locomotive enter the switch cuts off.
Guys I have decided to remove that switch. And replace it with a atlas o switch.Good thing I have mating pins for gargave and atlas track.I am hoping that switch was the problem.Any way I,ll keep you guys posted.
