If you want to build a stone retaining wall or something similar, I spotted this "tile" in Home Depot recently. It's normally something you'd use for a back splash in a kitchen remodel, but the stones are about 1/4" square (one scale foot). They're expensive, but I think they might be useful.

There are lots of sizes that work great for things such as sidewalks, curbstones, platforms, retaining walls, ruins of structures, etc. If you find packages that are split open with a few pieces missing, you can sometimes negotiate great bargain prices. Tile outlets also usually have damaged packages on sale.

Matt, I've had my on those tiles for some time now. Just not ready for them yet but I keep checking to make sure HD is keeping them in stock.
