Streamlined passenger cars

Get the  K Line aluminum Fleet of Modernism shorties.  Will work perfectly on 0-27, look good, and are very reasonably priced.

Most of the Williams passenger cars will run on 027 or 031 track, there are only a few larger size Williams passenger cars that may require 042. Don't know about Lionel or MTH passenger cars.

I don't think the aluminum will navigate 027..they might but with a LOT of over hang. They even have over hang on 031 track! Your best bet is the MTH Railking 027 stream liner or madison sets of their rugged rails dept. or the Lionel 027  2400 series cars. I always wondered why Lionel never matched them with the gg1. Any opinions on this???

K-line has a set of 027 Pennsy Fleet Of Modernism 13" plastic stream liners that would work

If you can find RMT or K-Line passenger cars any more. Mainly on the used market as RMT has sold out of most items now and only a few items remain. K-Line went out of business over 5 years ago and Lionel stopped selling K-Line items about a year ago or longer.

Williams is made by Bachmann now and Williams passenger cars can be bought for good prices at internet sites rather then the Bachmann website.

Agree with Bill, try RMT passenger cars.  The LIRR ones I have run fine on my O27 dog bone layout.

I have 2 sets for my tight curves, and both are PRR "Fleet of Modernism" (1938-48) streamlined cars. One is MTH Rail King, which was also under the Rugged Rails name at one time. The other is from K-Line. Both were picked up on eBay. Both have interiors as well as a decent amount of detail.

Well I bought on eBay 5 K-Line Prr plastic bodied streamlined carriages.  They look ok, should be fine. I was tempted by a MPC set of aluminium re- issues of the Congressional set but my layout has too many curves; 027.
