Hi, I'm a new member.

Please forgive me if this question was answered in the 20th century on this forum, or some other model railroading forum. I've used the ogrforum search engine and it came up with nothing. Can anyone verify that the model train featured in the movie "Captain January" (circa 1936)  is a Lionel 751E O gauge Streamliner? If so, it appears that a 751E is not particularly rare on the collectables market, as a working one (in need of TLC) is now offered for only $350.00 on Ebay (or was as of 12/31/16).

Steve, You are correct with the set numbers, but a loco with that number doesn't exist, and is actually the 752 loco.  That was the point I was making.  Many times people misidentify items with wrong numbers.

A good example of misidentification is the Lionel 1688 and 1668 locos.  People constantly mix the numbers up, but a quick look shows one with 4 wheel motor, and the other a 6 wheel motor, and no tags to say which one.
