striping tape

Some automotive tape stripe-ing has a plastic backing, to protect the adhesive, that has to be pealed-off.   Could be wrong and often.  Mike CT.

Another question for dkdkrd: does shrink film come in transparent or translucent  colorless styles and how would it work for odd shaped windows?.  I have some Pegasus war game gothic building and the wall are two sided making it almost impossible to glaze them.  The liquid window glazing won't work on the larger openings.

My tape has two backings. One is on the bottom, where the adhesive is on the stripe only.. After removing that and applying the stripe, there is a clear backing that you peel off the top of the stripe. Sometimes it is very difficult to get the clear part separated at the start of the stripe.

I'm dreading masking and painting a large parking lot, loading dock area, and adjoining streets.

How about a paint pen?....and a straight and/or flexible edge to guide it?  White?  Yellow?  Both available.

Mask and paint an entire O scale parking lot?  Life's too short!  I'm always looking for the K.I.S.S. approach.....and, fortunately, the WS folks knew this!

But TEHO always is an option...

Come to think of it, recalling the "Tips" portion of old model railroad publications....make that REALLY old (like me!) publications...we should have a "TIPS" thread topic in the Forum somewhere.  Of course, the next thing you know someone would volunteer 'Keep your head down, eye on the ball, and follow through!'

I use white out rollers.  works great on almost all surfaces.  Roll up against a thick ruler fro straight lines... free hand for curves... cheap and easy'....
