Same scene with added detail. Added a crane operator, ground cover, some bitts, bollands and clam shell bucket (Crow River) to the barge and some Bragdon weathering.

Don, look's great!!
Vulcan, simply awesome.

Don:
Very nice scene. I love anything that depicts a water scene on a layout.
Don,
Thanks for starting this. I love the water scene it looks great. I was embroiled in a softball double header. Here are a couple of pictures of some previous stuff I have built.
great stuff, all four of you! Here's my entry: A photo of the finished scene is in the 2 rail section of the forum
I just finished detailing & weathering my MTH RailKing CNJ RSD4 #1601. This is the first powered unit I have weathered. Up 'til this point, I only had enough courage to weather non-powered units! I now have a matched pair of RSD's...powered #1601 and non-powered #1604.
John,
That is a great scene.
Joe,
Your engines look great. When I was a kid and I stayed at my grandparents house, those engines would go by all day. The road was only about fifteen feet wide between the house and the tracks so it seamed like the trains were right on top of you. They shook the whole house when they went by.

Great job everyone. Scenes all look great.
Alan, miss that softball. I used to hit homeruns but now I cannot run or hit, just watch.
Joe,
That looks real nice. I like the roof over the whole loading area.
Alan Graziano
Thanks Alan
Vulcan--is that diner available commercially as a kit or pre-built structure?
Thank-you,
Greg
Greg, that's sort of yes, no, maybe.
It started out as this, from K-line as a KCC item. I may be wrong but K-line by Lionel may has issued it as a kit (without the sign?).
Before that it was this. You may still find one, I don't know.
Before that it was Marx. That may be harder to find.
Very nice, Don.
I'm still working around the diner. Added these posts. And an asphalt patch (because I screwed up on one of the holes).
And I did all that in only two weeks!
The asphalt patch adds a realistic touch to the whole scene.
I'm sure we all would have thought you planed it that way if you hadn't said it was the result of a screw up.
Nice fix.
Some more pictures of product just finished. One is a grain elevator complex. The other is a traveling crane. The block is a Liebherr (YCC 202), though a little expensive it is a beautiful block. This is a single sheave though YCC makes all kinds.
Beautiful structures but I like your shop more.
Don:
I was trying to figure out how to work the motorcycle into the pictures but I thought that would be going too far.......
The shop started out about 25 years ago as a hobby woodworking shop. With the recent move to Prescott the garage is bigger so there is more elbow room. I have a Delta UniSaw not shown which is overkill for plastic work but comes in real handy when building wood structures.

Nice looking crane, I wish that LIONEL would make one like this with Legacy controls....boy could I have fun with that.
Thanks Roger
I can just make out the front of the motorcycle Joe, what kind of bike is it? As they say great minds think alike, I ride too, I have an Indian Chief and I have a wood shop in the garage to make furniture.
Take care,
John.
Alan,
Right out of season 2 of the old HBO show The Wire about the Port of Baltimore. Nicely done.

John:
It is a custom construction - Harley 103 twin cam, Baker 6-speed. Sooner or later I knew OGR forum would morph into a bikers forum!!
Rich Melvin / Alan Graziano - I promise - no more bike photos but if you look closely you may make out some stuff from Plastruct.............
Nice!
