Good Morning Everyone and Happy Easter. I will start off with something I constructed in the past. Lets see what you have been working on.

I had to leave an opening so I could reach to finish the hill in the center:
Started to fill in the area this Friday using scraps of 2" pink foam:
Used plaster impregnated gauze to join the foam to the existing scenery:
A coat of paint to hide the pink color:
Now I'm starting to test fit/arrange some buildings. The "highway" will parallel the railroad tracks around the curve and cross over them past Howell's Gen'l Store.:

Finished my Ameritowne kit yesterday and installed it on my layout. Still need to do a bunch of details, finish the ground cover, and ballast the track.
Here's a night shot, too much light in the afternoon from the window to see the interior lights.

Alan and all Happy Easter. Great TravelLift, looks exactly like the ones I see around the yards just east of the city. Pete, scenery looking fantastic and it amazing how much you get done each week. RSJB18 building kit came out great, like the lighting too.
Tom
We are getting bids on finishing off our attic. It would give me a 20x30' space. All model building is closed down now except for what I need to do for the modular group and repair of buildings on the current current layout.
I have been stockpiling kits for the future.....these are coming attractions......
Richmond Packing Co.......from the Brennan Model Railroding's Frank Ellison series.
Oblong Box Co.....from the Brennan Model Railroding's FrankEllison series.
Rock Island Freight Terminal by TW TrainWorx
Hap Hazard Packing Co.......from the Brennan Model Railroding's Frank Ellison series.
Cameron Freight Transfer by TW Trainworx
New Haven Pagoda Tower by TW Trainworx
A few older Korber Kits
An older Ameritowne Kit
....and I even have a pile of modern Lionel kits for "kit-bashing"
Then the challenge will be working these "already built" structures into the plan.
The late Art Curren of Kalmbach was a master at using buildings as "view blocks" . Since I am an urban scenery person, I hope to use buildings as view obstructions to give the train routes a sense of distance.
So I am "closed", probably for about a year. I will still have my layout for a while to run trains. When the contractor gets back to us, I will know when that comes down (we are also upgrading 5 bathrooms and the basement). I will have the modular layout for about 3 months in the Fall/Winter. Then, probably post York April 2021, I will start up again.
However, I will continue to watch this thread and gather many great ideas and inspirations.

Sounds like an exciting plan Peter. Any thoughts of a layout plan yet?

Working on it....

Nice work this week guys! Peter looking forward to seeing those kits built up, they are some nice ones.
Some more progress on the layout with additional elevated sections. The green secretion will be for an elevated subway loop, and the middle current brown sections are the upper mainline.

Been plugging away at my Milk station. Made up some plates to join the icehouse and station. There are blocks on the layout that the icehouse slips over to keep everything in line. Both roofs are removable. I have a lot of shingling to do. I also need to finish the foundation blocks on one side. Built a Sheffield Farms sign for the front of the building. Set it aside somewhere and now can’t find it. It will turn up when looking for something else.
I got a little more done scenery wise at the grade crossing. Managed to put together a small building that will be garage for repairing farm implements. I need to remove the milk station and finish up the parking area and get some paint on the conveyor. Also need to build a coal bin for the boiler.

I check this thread every Sunday. It is interesting and educational. I am envious of some of the great talent here. I hate scenery but see it at a necessary evil, all of you make it look so easy.
This is scratchbuilt with wood siding. Someone gifted me a whole package of Northeastern clapboard so I could not let it go to waste. I still have some detailing to do and finish up the surrounding scenery. Here will be a truck loading area too. It has been fun and I will appreciate your suggestions.
Thanks, Malcolm

Mr. Love,
I really love the building you constructed.

The brick detail so far looks great. DPM modular sections are one of my favorites.

Brother Love, what is the object on the roof. It looks a lot like some O scale passenger car diaphragms I've seen, and it can't be that.
I'd be thrilled to have the structure on a layout. My only suggestion is the signage could be weathered/aged to fit with the rest of the building's veneer.
Great posts this week as always.
Rich, Pete Your layout are really coming along nicely
Hope everyone had a nice Easter
I took delivery of these EMD 645 Power assemblies from the Czech Republic. This is the final detail for my enginehouse module..
