Good Morning Everyone and Happy Easter,
I will start off with something I constructed in the past. Let's see what you have been working on.

Wow some incredible craftsmanship! Here is the latest project. NYC Caledonia Freight Station. This was produced in HO scale only and our customer wanted an O scale version. The first pic is the HO version
Alan, amazing as always. David super weathering, subtle and looks so natural. Richard nice O scale station, does it or can it have interior?

David,
that is one amazing breathtaking scene. And the weathering on the engine is pretty good too.
Happy Holidays to all.
I completed the addition to the Bridgeport Scrap Metals background building and positioned the model at the rear edge of my 10'-by-8' layout. It fills the white space of the rear wall between the hotel and truss bridge.

David, Really well done weathering on the Yellowstone, and I totally agree with Alan's comments above... The steel mill scene is exceptional, great detailing, weathering, the placement and proportions of the buildings all look incredibly realistic. Adding a perfectly weathered articulated only improves it even more. Thanks for sharing the photos.
Yes this has a full interior with lighting as well as the dock doors actually work!

That's a real beauty Dave!
I'm still working on the Union RR slab cars I mocked up a few weeks ago. Some of the components I had planned to cast in resin didn't work out so well in reality! Since I don't have a vacuum chamber or a pressure pot I have to use a self-degassing rtv rubber so that means very simple molds. The underside of the cast chassis looked great but the top (deck) kept ending up full of air pockets. Attempts to cast it without a mold top resulted in no air holes but inconsistent deck thickness and waviness. So instead of having a cast resin chassis I am building them from styrene. Works the same, just takes a little longer. The first car is almost ready for primer and paint, and the decals arrived yesterday. Won't be long and those slabs piling up around that mill will have a way to make it over to your rolling mill!

David.
All I can say is it's "Exceptional creative achievement". You are not only a great modeller but a very artistic person as well.
How I wish I lived closer and could have at least one visit to your railroad. When I start weathering my Steel mill your work will be what inspired me to do it.
Thank you for posting the photos.
Roo.
Holy cow! Thanks for all of the nice comments!
I always enjoy everybody’s contributions to this thread!
Roo, my furnace isn’t nearly as nice as yours my friend. It would be cool if we lived a bit closer. Lol
Joe, I can’t wait to see those slab racks.
Great job everybody!
